The home or main page may be the first contact your veiwer has ever had with your business, it must be pleasing to the eye, concise and designed in such a way that allows you to navigate directly to any page on the site from here.
Web sites with masses of animated content is in our opinion not the way to go. A subtle flash banner can be quite effective, some are fantastic but never put so much moving content on a page that it causes confusion. Web sites with lots of animation also make for heavy pages which can take a while to load and for anyone with a particularly slow internet connection it can be like watching paint dry. Clients faced with this stuation get tired of waiting and go away rarely to revisit and you have lost a customer.
